| Welcome to the "Barnett - Babson Family" For many years, genealogical research has been performed on both of these established families. And many, many files documents and pictures have been collected and scattered across the Internet. The BARNETT family, coming from the Appalachian Mountains, bringing with them; Mountain Folklore, and men who lived off of and from under the land (from farmers to coal miners). And a lifestyle of earning their way through hard labor, hard times and stubbornness. The BABSON family, is just the opposite. From colonial times and before, this was a seafaring family. These men earned their wages through trade on the sea. Many of them not only lived on the sea but died there as well or became lost. The family members who did not go to sea busied themselves in land deals and profitable business endeavors, establishing their name quickly along the eastern seaboard. The marriage of SCOTT BARNETT & PHYLLIS BABSON joined these families. Having no children together, they have 8 between them. This brings the need for both histories to be brought to one place, so the future generations will be able to track their heritage without the back-breaking work of searching and dealing with others that may not be interested in family history, but may hold the key to missing links. This is a non-profit, open-sharing site Unless otherwise stated, all info is free to be used by any and all visitors.
